A native of Australia, Juanita Lyon was raised on a sugar cane farm where she spent her formative years, sketching and painting.  In her teens she was drawn to hairdressing as a vocation and utilized her artistic skills on a daily basis at an exclusive Australian hair salon.

Not content with the confines of a salon, Juanita set out to discover the world, backpacking across Europe. She experienced life in London, and her travels eventually led her to Los Angeles.  Taking full advantage of LA, Juanita enrolled in the Otis College of Art and Design to continue her studies in sculpture and painting.

Combining her hair and makeup skills over the last 25 years, Juanita's work can be seen in publications such as Italian Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone,Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Benefit, Adidas x Stella McCartney, Cosmopolitan, and Allure.  Through her experiences in special effects, Juanita has been associated in working on movies such as Mars Attacks, Face Off, Broken Arrow, and Get Shorty. Her celebrity client include Beck, Terry Crews, Niall Horan, and Giveon.

Juanita finds inspiration in a clean, yet sophisticated aesthetic from the sculptures of Rodin, to the iconic images of Helmut Newton.  Her sonic inspiration stems from the dark brooding melodies of Nick Cave, The Pixies, and Leonard Cohen to Australian bands that sound-tracked her childhood, like INXS and Dragon.

Juanita has used Holistic medicine for over 10 years as a way of life, western medicine as an alternative and has just completed her Level 1 in Reiki. She takes great pride as a martial arts instructor in the Filipino arts of Silat and Kali, and is a level 2 in Muay Thai.
